I too agree... Madras is more mesmerising name
hmmm I also abide by the lines "Madras namma Madras" but i don mind the change of name...after all the city is what it has always been, my HOME! :-)
They can change the name all they want but we will always be 'Madrassis'!!

Bharat, I grew up in Madras and have so much gotten used to that name, that I have more memories of Madras than Chennai. So probably I am finding it hard to handle the name change. I still use only Bombay, Madras and Bangalore!
